Established as a social enterprise in April 2018, Konverge Sweets and Pastries (or Konverge) offers selected Philippine-made products to be enjoyed in the homes of Filipinos and anywhere else where good food and drinks are shared amongst family members and friends.

Utmost in the goals of the company is the delivery of high-quality products that make us proud of our local industries and are instrumental in uplifting the lives of Filipinos by way of improving local economies and generating employment. 

 

To achieve these goals, Konverge has been a proud distributor of the CSI Trade Ventures’ cacao products, which are made from certified organic cacao produced in the Municipality of San Isidro in the Province of Davao del Norte where approximately 4,000 hectares are planted to cacao trees.  

 

Konverge is, likewise, a distributor of Kape Maria Food and Packaging, Inc. (or Kape Maria), a producer of premium coffee blends made from coffee beans produced across the country.  Kape Maria supports the livelihood of Philippine coffee farmers representing more than 50 coffee farming communities all over the country.

Konverge also signed up as a seller of bags and fashion accessories created by promising startups with worthwhile advocacies: Dela Yna Handicrafts, which provides jobs in the Province of Aklan; Kathryn Fanlo Fashion, which utilizes fabric and other materials produced by Indigenous Peoples (IPs); and Yvette’s Bags & Beads Collection, which gives income opportunities to qualified female inmates in the Davao City Jail.

During the restrictive months of 2020 when Covid-19 struck, Konverge began to run a retail outlet for fresh vegetables.  In that same year, Konverge officially registered “KERMS” – which stands for “Keeping Enterprises Robust, Market-oriented and Sustainable” – as its brand for products manufactured by the micro-enterprises that it supports.  By 2023, the products that bear the KERMS brand include peanut butter (plain and sugar-free), chocolate spread, calamansi concentrate and juice as well as organic coconut sugar.

Konverge is a sole proprietorship that is duly registered in the Department of Trade & Industry and the City of Manila’s Bureau of Permits.
